An Interview with Liz, the Editor-in-Chief of ‘Inside Emma’s Attic’

August

Tell us about your blog…..how long has it been going and what’s the main focus of your posts?

My blog has been running for almost 2 years now, to be honest i don’t really have a focus, its more of just ‘oh i have to write about that!’ if that’s a thing then that’s totally what it is! I enjoy writing about my crafty exploits and I’ve had the pleasure of hosting them on some really incredible blogs. I just kinda go with my gut and it progresses from there, due to family commitments of late its been mainly reviews but I’m hoping to rectify that this year and get back down to some nitty gritty.

It started off as a business based blog- what made you move from this into a more personal type of blogging?

After closing the business down about a year ago now i found i missed having an outlet to write down what i was making or thinking about. i wrote a journal for many years whilst at college and i found it really focused my mind, it generally runs away with itself and i get easily distracted, so having somewhere to write down all these things I’ve tried, want to try or generally just find beautiful or interesting i find really helps declutter my mind. Pinterest is also a great place to just observe beauty.

What made you want to start blogging, and were there any particular bloggers that you were really inspired by before you started?

In all honestly, i suppose it was peer pressure lol! A lot of my business peers where keeping a blog to introduce new designs or gather inspiration etc i saw it as a spring board to gain contacts and network through blog swaps and competitions etc then it grew from them.

Where would you like to see your blog in a year from now?

Oh id love to be in a place where ppl know my blog and talk about it, pass it around and invite me to the most incredible things, in reality id be happy with a larger view base and the opportunity to contact with other like minded bloggers.

What is it that you’ve found hardest about blogging?!

For me it would be finding a time away from everything else just to sit and write about whatever i want!

And finally, who are your all time favourite bloggers?
