An Interview with Efia Sulter, editor-in-chief of ‘Effy Talks Life’!

We spoke to Efia about her blog Effy Talks Life, where she see’s herself in a year from now, and what she finds toughest about blogging!

Tell us about your blog…..how long has it been going and what’s the main focus of your posts?

Since August 2012 – I can hardly believe it!  I’d put my blog in the lifestyle category because I pretty much cover everything, what can I say? I like to talk haha!

You cover quite a range of topics! Do you have a favourite topic?

I quite enjoy recipe posts, food is really exciting to me so it comes as no surprise that I love to talk about it.

What made you want to start blogging, and were there any particular bloggers that you were really inspired by before you started?

I was working as a social media intern and I ‘stumbled on’ The Londoner and I remember I spent ages going through all of her posts. Something just clicked and I thought hey I could do this and within a couple of weeks my blog was set up and ready to go!

Where would you like to see your blog in a year from now?

Oh wow a year from now, I don’t even know where I see myself a year from now haha. I guess growth is the main thing for me, but whatever happens it will be exciting to see what happens next.

What is it that you’ve found hardest about blogging?!

Definitely finding the time to blog. I have a couple of jobs and uni as well and especially over the last month I’ve really had to focus on exam revision, which has had a serious impact on my blogging. I don’t see myself giving up but sometimes I wish I had more time for it.

And finally, who are your all time favourite bloggers?

Rosie of The Londoner is probably my all time favourite and the first blog I properly read so I think I’ll always have a bit of a connection there. Not sure if this counts but I also really love PostSecret by Frank Warren – total work of art.
