An Interview with Emily Thorpe, Editor-in- Chief of ‘Tales from the Sale Rails’

emily

Tell us about your blog…..how long has it been going and what’s the main focus of your posts?

My blog Tales From The Sale Rails started in June 2012. I’m a real bargain hunter and wanted to focus my blog on showing people that drugstore products and Primark clothes can be just as good as high end ones. In 2014 I hope to do more OOTD’s and add a few more posts to my ‘Cheat or Treat series’, finding cheaper alternatives to high end products!

What made you want to start blogging, and were there any particular bloggers that you were really inspired by before you started?

I’ve always loved Zoe Sugg’s blog (www.zoella.co.uk). It was her post about anxiety that caught my attention first, and gradually her posts on beauty and fashion sucked me into the blogging world! Her down-to-earth attitude is so refreshing, it’s like hearing beauty advice from a friend.

Where would you like to see your blog in a year from now?

Obviously I would love to keep gaining readers and followers, but I also hope to go to some blogger meet-ups and a few more events.

What is it that you’ve found hardest about blogging?!

Finding the time to write! Often coming home after working all day I really lack the motivation to take photos or write a post.

And finally, who are your all time favourite bloggers?

Lily Melrose (www.llymlrs.com) is my favourite fashion blogger, she has such effortless style and always looks gorgeous. I also love Gh0stparties, Sprinkle of Glitter and Milkteef.
