As with all things in life and especially with blogging, there may come a time where you really want to step your game up, depending how far you you’re looking to take your blogging game; if it’s straight to your favourite brands, to be truly influential and make some dollar dollar, whilst you’re at it; then it’s time to raise your brand awareness.
Reach a wider audience
Blogging is a brilliant way to reach a wide audience and be seen before your industry. Ensure that you’ve done your research though, taking an opportunity which might not totally suit you, could be damaging. However, it Is likely that you will naturally go for a blog that you love and are a fan of.
Set the correct tone
Given that you would have chosen a blog which you genuinely match with, it should be not be hard to ensure that your writing Is an appropriate fit for you to guest post for. Keep in mind that you should consider almost blending in your writing style with the website, in order for your new audience to appreciate your new addition to their site. Finally, if there are content guidelines – stick to them!
Share an insight
Yes, this can definitely be hard when insights are rare things, so rather than creating them, share interesting insights with your audience. On a simple level the example I will use, is reading an incredibly complicated technical blog, but creating content around this super complex idea, through a language your audience totally understands.
Provide relevant links
When appropriate and of course relevant, links embedded in your content will be reciprocated by search engines and will ideally assist in driving traffic back to your site. Ultimately however, it’s the interesting and thought provoking content that your reader will share.
