How to Widen Your Reach with Pinterest

Reach with Pinterest

Using your social media channels properly for your blog is integral to its success; it promotes your blog and brings you into the blogging community. But, there are specific ways that you should be using your individual social media channels- no one channel is the same, and so deserve different types of attention.

Today we’ll focus on Pinterest, and how you should use it for your blog. Pinterest really is the only social media where you can deviate from your blog slightly-Twitter, Facebook and Instagram should be branded to your blog but Pinterest is where you have the chance to be a little bit freer. For example, take our Pinterest. Yes, we have blogging tips, and fonts and blog designs on our board- but we also have fashion, beauty, hair and interior.

Pinterest is a place where you should feel free to be a bit more yourself and not feel that you have to be restricted to staying within the parameters of your blog. If you blog on fashion or beauty, you shouldn’t feel that you should be limited to just these subjects on your boards, but instead focus on a whole menagerieof different topics that interest you.

Your Pinterest boards should be bright and colourful and full of lots of different beautiful and useful images that when all put together make up a rich and varied social media presence. Don’t feel like you should be pigeon holed when you are working on your Pinterest presence, if you love something that isn’t to do with your blog, then don’t worry, you should still pin away!

We’re all about the pinning here at the Bloggers’ Lounge, and are always on the lookout for Pinners to follow, so leave us yours in the comments below!
